Dr. Tony Lopez has been caring for pets and their families for nearly three decades, bringing both deep experience and a personal approach to every patient he sees. He has been in continuous clinical practice since 1997, building long-term relationships with clients and their pets across the North Texas community.
In 2006, Dr. Lopez became board-certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice. This is a voluntary, rigorous credential pursued by only a small percentage of veterinarians, and it reflects Dr. Lopez’s commitment to a higher standard of general practice medicine and to lifelong learning.
In 2014, Dr. Lopez founded his own veterinary hospital in Frisco, which he successfully grew and led until its sale in 2020. While proud of what that hospital became, his passion for independent, relationship-centered care ultimately led him back to building something new. Today, he is dedicating the next chapter of his career to Painted Tree Veterinary Hospital, which he co-founded with Dr. John Pazora in a partnership built on years of mutual trust, shared values, and a common vision for a different kind of veterinary experience.
At home, Dr. Lopez lives in nearby Prosper with his partner. Their household includes Klaus, an energetic and opinionated Doberman, along with two cats, Bixby and Lyra, who help keep things balanced in their own way.
